A momentous occasion is upon us as we arrive at our 100th release. Over 100 artists have graced the releases of Velcro City Records over the past years and we could not be more honored or thrilled to have worked with so many talented and gracious producers, remixers, singers and songwriters. We wanted to celebrate this milestone by doing a compilation tribute to our fans and we included 11 new originals from just a few of the members of VCR.
Ranging from breaks to house to indie to dubstep to drum & bass to electro and back, this release is sure to find a comfortable place in the ears of all and the dancefloors of many, all the while staying true to the sounds you have come to expect from Velcro City.
It has been a long journey to this point and we cant thank everyone enough for their ongoing supportbut dont worry, we are just getting started.

Devoe has been very well established in the drum n bass scene for quite awhile now and he has just finished up a new mix CD. But beware this CD is not what he is known for under the Devoe moniker. This mix is a multi genre romp across all corners of the genre spectrum.

“In the last 2 years I have been producing all kinds of electronic music. I needed a mix that would showcase this work, so departing from my normal routine of doing an all drum and bass mix, I decided to make a multi-genre mix. Inside you will find drum and bass, dubstep, house, electro house, indie dance, and breaks. These are all styles of music that I have been working on in the past 2 years, and I’ve sprinkled in some original work to highlight my production. ( the Enson Crusha and Oh Shit! tunes in the mix are all my original work!)
Along with the fact that I have been producing in all different styles, this mix is also a reflection of what I believe the current state of electronic music has become. It is becoming increasingly rare that a dj just plays one style of music all night. In a sense this time is like a return to the beginnings of electronic dance music. No one had any notion of genres, and we were all just there to hear beats, no matter what the tempo was.
The mix is called Free for several reasons. It is free of genre boundaries, it represents the current state of my life in that I feel I am free of limitations, and you (the listener) are going to get this mix for free (whether downloaded or a hard copy)
