Releases No Comments

What do you get when you pair the musical styling of two amazing groups? The answer; exactly what Everybody Needs. Oh Shit! & Night Drugs team up to deliver this amazing original sure to be at the top of everyones 2010 playlists. A funked out slap bass backs the nu-disco vibe, while the penetrating lyrics of the song soothe the soul.

This release is backed to the hilt with sweat inducing remixes by some very nice players in the dance music scene.

Audius
brings on the thick electro sounds with his remix. Hoovers, big swells, rolling change ups, and that party rockin thrash he is known for.

VCR is happy to have the synth-tastic Bit Funk back for another round of soul. He swings through to lend us his precision sound crafting skills, and unleashes a monster of a vocoded, funkdafied, thrill-ride.

Chris Nunchaku
brings the South American tech flavor to his remix. Taking the vocals of the original and delicately placing them on a new percussion bed with fluttering stabs and playful delight.

DJ Hero
comes big with two monster remixes. First up we have a Hero Re-Rub where he leaves the integrity of the original but gives it a new broken beat to bounce off. Next we have the Hero Remix which is sure to be in the crates of masses of DJs who need that catchy floor filler.

DJ Juginz
brings the dj friendly down-under club sound to this remix. The steady thump of the kick, a slight tribal flavor, and the new structure lends to an enticing rework of the original.

Dj Vanish
reaches out to bring a spaced out anthem of rolling bass, big synths, and sheer force to this nu-80s dance floor romp.

Diamond Cut
takes Everybody Needs straight to the cutting room and comes out this fantastic re-imagination. A stellar remix bristling with a power house sound all of its own. Diamond Cuts blending of 80s influence, disco, pop, and club music is a sure to set fire to any floor across the globe.

Fabian
extends his glorious fingertips to this remix to make what is a true beauty of auditory bliss. Waves of a dream carry you along as the drifting melodies lead you to the songs climax surrendering you to the sound.

Galacktik Knights
present a frisky reinterpretation of sidechained synths, emotional leads, and amazing note progression. Set the room on fire with this one.

Ishe teams up with newcomer Sureshot to bring the fidget whomp to their mix. A nasty wah wah bassline carry this remix out of the studio and to the crowd.

JackBOT
pours on the wobble with this crushing electro fidget frolic.

Joman
has got the funk. He whips up a housed out tune sure to distract you from any of your worries.

Leonardus
break a cyclical rocking sway off of the original and bring a whole new dimension to this tune.

Night Drugs
paint a sonic image of dancing on the beach at sunset with this inviting re-edit.

The Phantoms Revenge
chop and crush their mix into an unforgettable heater of funk, power, and bounce.

VCR061 – Crazy Switch by mLe is OUT NOW!!

Releases No Comments

mLe – Crazy Switch – Available here

Velcro City Records presents a monster of a release with this debut original from our lovely mLe. Crazy Switch is packed with multiple genre remixes from all corners on the dance community.

We start with this fantastic original bringing the story of how easy it is to turn on the Crazy Switch in some people. This was the motivation behind this smashing tune. mLe turns up the heat with precision percussive elements including a the use of lighter spark, a clock tick, and other secretive elements of sound. Vocal stabs, a rolling baseline, and a nice hook make this a high bar for the following tracks to come from mLe.

The remixers come in full force to support this bouncing track.

We are extremely privileged to have a personal legend to the VCR family Jonas Tempel lend his creative touches to this original.

This release is also backed with an indie influenced electro banger by Arete & Kaution, a techy ride by Bruce Dickinson, a wobbly primetime breaks mix by DJ Hero, a funked out electro synth mix by Dj Vanish, a super automated dubstep thrasher by Ishe, a twitchy mix and a fidget mix by JackBOT, a tribally, bigroom, tech house mix by Jquintel, and a minimal influenced tech mix by Satori-C .

As a special Holiday gift we have also included a hilarious dubstep remix by DJ Hero of the classic “Sleigh Ride.” You have to hear this track to believe it. A full on whomp of a mix.

Happy Holidays!!

Tha Illest Part 2 brings even more fire!!!!

VCR050-ThaIllestPt2web
We are proud to present Velcro City Records 50th release with this monster of fire! This release is so huge we had to split it in two.

A power packed digital double LP awaits.

The LA club scene thrashers Oh Shit! are back once again with another heater dripping with sweat and sex. This time we have the global crushing MC Messinian leading the way on this dance floor romp with Oh Shit! supporting the rhythm.

The Original mix is true Oh Shit! signature with floor rocking change ups, 8 Bit panning leads, a fresh moving bassline, and Messinian is on the mic taking control of the crowd with his lyrical skills and surgical precision.

Night Drugs are back once again with an explosive remix, Bit Funk brings on the funk and brings it on thick. Hero gives a heavy broken beat full of wobble, and Ishe brings the Whomp! with his dubstep mix.

Dj Vanish lends us an evolving synthed out pusher; JackBOT keeps it jackin’, while peaceTreaty comes with the bounce.

Joman supplies both a raw indie rendition and a smoothed out electro banger, and we are happy to debut mLe with a moving tech jam, and Dunno with some bangin fidget for us.

Definitely something for everyone in this 50th release.

Velcro City Records also wants to take the time to thank everyone for their past and future support.

Cheers!
